Sewing Machines

Pastor Pena asked if we could possibly collect sewing machines to bring to Honduras with us when we traveled. I had no idea how this might work, but we put out the request. Obviously God was at work answering the prayers of the church in Tegucigalpa by nudging 12 people to give their machines. We were delighted by the response and happily carried the sewing machines to Honduras. I only wish you could have seen the face of Pastor Pena when I told him we had 12 machines for him. He was delighted. He also said that they had 30 women in the Tegucigalpa church signed up for the classes with only 5 machines and they had a waiting list of 20 women in Cataluna where we were working. We delivered the machines on Monday, June 27, on Tuesday the machines were already in use and on Wednesday we received pictures showing the women in the training classes using our machines. Once again seeing how God works wonders through people as ordinary as you and me bringing hope and the promise of a brighter future just causes me to sing songs of joy.
