Pastor Pena asked if we could possibly collect sewing machines to bring to Honduras with us when we traveled. I had no idea how this might work, but we put out the request. Obviously God was at work answering the prayers of the church in Tegucigalpa by nudging 12 people to give their machines. We were delighted by the response and happily carried the sewing machines to Honduras. I only wish you could have seen the face of Pastor Pena when I told him we had 12 machines for him. He was delighted. He also said that they had 30 women in the Tegucigalpa church signed up for the classes with only 5 machines and they had a waiting list of 20 women in Cataluna where we were working. We delivered the machines on Monday, June 27, on Tuesday the machines were already in use and on Wednesday we received pictures showing the women in the training classes using our machines. Once again seeing how God works wonders through people as ordinary as you and me bringing hope and the promise of a brighter future just causes me to sing songs of joy.

BLOG TO BE OPENED FOR POSTINGS AND LINKS TO WEB ALBUM PICTURES
Hello again to all travelers, all families and all friends--
I hope everyone has recovered from the long travel home! *- For those of you who were not at church Sunday, several Team Members got to share a "God moment" or an meaningful experience that they encountered on their trip to Honduras. Because of time constraints, however, many did not get the opportunity to speak.
I wanted to open the blog so that everyone who wants can contribute THEIR story for all to read. On Sunday, numbers of church members expressed a genuine appreciation and heartfelt interest in those stories that were shared. Renee ran a 10 minute slideshow of the trip after church in the Great Hall outside the meeting house. The sight of the children sitting cross-legged in front of the screen with the adults standing behind, all in rapt attention, was a testimony to everyone's interest in and appreciation of the mission trip.
I would encourage all of you to post to the blog, even those who spoke in church, since the attendance at the service was light. I know that many of you have posted your pictures to Facebook. For those of us who are either Facebook-phobic, or who are not your "friends", I would ask you a favor--
If you could upload your pictures to Picasa Web Album or its equivalent and post the link in the blog (hopefully with your story), it would allow all of us to share.
Mrs Garrett has posted her video on You Tube. Here is the link.
Please consider posting so that we all appreciate the importance and the power of your mission trip. Through your postings and pictures, we can see God at work through both the Team and the Hondurans you served.

Travel Update
I just got a call from Renee. Doug Bears, Ben Robie, the stowaway Szydlo’s (were able to get out on an earlier flight with Doug on standby) are all in Boston. The Hopper group is in Dallas, TX and their plane out to BOS is on time. Renee’s group in Miami is on route . The Kirkpatrick group is in Miami, and is anticipated to be on time. Joanne Askins, Josh Storgaard and Carol Sherman are in transit.
Renee will call me when they leave Boston. I anticipate that the call will come in around 1:30am. I will send out texts at that time. Renee will also call when they are in Newport, Me and I will text again. If all goes according to plan, Renee expects arrival time at church around 6 am.
If you do not want to get texts in the middle of the night, you can shut off your phone but you are on your own if things to go not go according to plan and the anticipated arrival time changes. Renee is asking all of the team to attend church @9 am (Although she said she is not taking attendance J.)

The first two groups got back to Bangor last night. I heard from both Dr Haddix and Carol Warmuth when their groups were in the Bangor cars heading home.
Just received text from Renee
"We are in route to the airport in staggered groups. Pray for smooth travels".
I am at our family camp today. If you need a quick response from me, do not text. Call my cell directly. I sent out the number in the text that just went out. I have the cell calls routed to the camp (no cell reception). If needed, Renee will correspond with either me or Dr Haddix and I can get the texts / blog info out . I will just need to drive / bike a few miles to get either cell or internet reception. I anticipate going back into Bangor sometime after dinner and will have my calls redirected back to my cell. If I post to the blog at any time today, I will send out a text. I do not anticipate posting until later tonight unless there is something improtant to get out.
Have a nice day! Prayers to our team to arrival in Boston for the bus trip home at 1:30 am Sunday am. .
